FMS: U.S. Approves AIM-120C8 Sale Worth $2.9 billion to Germany

The USA has approved the potential sale of the AIM-120C-8 AMRAAM and related equipment to Germany with a value of 2,9 billion USD (2,58 billion €).

The potential contract includes:

  • 969 AIM-120C-8 Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missiles
  • 12 AMRAAM C8 Guidance Sections
  • AIM-120 Captive Air Training Missiles
  • telemetry kit and control section spares
  • containers for transportation/storage
  • KGV-135A Communications Security (COMSEC) devices
  • Common Munitions Built-in-Test Reprogramming Equipment (CMBRE)
  • ADU 891 Computer Test Set Adapter Groups
  • munitions support and support equipment
  • classified software delivery and support
  • spare parts, consumables, accessories, and repair and return support
  • transportation support
  • classified publications and technical documentation
  •  studies and surveys; U.S. Government and contractor engineering, technical and logistics support services
